African Shark Eco-Charters promo

Hot off the heals of his own film “Great White Shark Adventure“, Ricardo was invited by Rob and Karen Lawrence of African Shark Eco-Charters to build a promo video to show visitors just what to expect on their morning “Airjaws” tours. Combining footage of his own alongside some amazing footage captured by shark legend Rob Lawrence himself, the finished product is now online for all to enjoy. Even as a promo it stands as a great way to see Great White Sharks in False Bay, South Africa in all their wonder.

Ricardo said: “having the opportunity to work alongside the staff and crew of African Shark Eco-Charters is a dream come true. I’ve been a shark geek since the earliest age I can remember and to be able to not only get access to Rob Lawrence’s footage, but also to spread a different vision of Great White’s in South Africa….well, it’s something I feel very passionately about”

Great Wall Of China Trek

We are happy to announce our involvement in a project for 2012 in which we will be helping to tell the truly inspirational story of Julie Atherton and her partner David Brown. Julie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2004, and had a double mastectomy ,6 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Unfortunately in October 2005, the cancer returned, and 6 years on Julie still has breast cancer and is living her life to the full. Both David and Julie have been actively fundraising and in 2012 will be heading out for a trek across the Great Wall Of China.

As the film is a project for next year and in it’s early stages we would be immensley grateful if you would take the time to read more about this inspirational woman and her loving partner and maybe donate a few pounds (or allot of pounds!) to raise money for the North West Cancer Research Fund, over at the Just Giving page:

If you missed Ricardo interviewed on the Paulette Edwards BBC Radio Sheffield show, then below is an edited version for you to check out. Ricardo was discussing both the joint Troika / Scot Davidson production of “I Wonder Who”, but also some of the more general issues of racism in both Sheffield and beyond. Ricardo will be appearing on BBC Radio Sheffield on Friday 21st January 2011, on the Paulette Edwards afternoon show to discuss “I WONDER WHO“, the Scot Davidson / Troika+Ltd film that is nearing completion of post production. It will be a good chance for you to hear a little more about this long production process, the challenges of the subject matter, and the anti-racist message the film dares to confront head on.
