Outroads

With a unique mixture of blues, country, folk and downright ORIGINALITY, Outroads is one of the most uncaterogorized and truly expressive groups in the country.

Founded by Geoff Walsh, one of the most inspiring and creative songwriters of our time, Outroads has played from intimate venues, to the grand scale of international music festivals in Chile…playing to an audience of thousands, and a TV audience of millions.
Their two current CD’s (”Goodbye To All That” and “Only The Lonely?”) represent some of the most touching and eclectic songwriting of modern music….with influences heading as far back as the mighty Robert Johnson to more modern artists, all almagated into seemingly simple music which hides it’s true depth.

Since signing Troika+Ltd’s Ricardo Lacombe as their manager, Outroads now have a forthcoming DVD in 2009, “Outroads: The Dog & Lantern” which features a unique look at the bands versatility from a local pub setting to a full stage show, and intertwines music and visuals from the two in a unique manner which befits such a unique band.

They have also been the inspiration and collaborator on a daring cutting edge documentary, “Brother”, for which Geoff (Singer and Songwriter) acted as Executive Producer to form the concept the groundbreaking film. With a busy year ahead, new material beckons and Outroads will be returning to the studio for a new album, which once again exemplifies their hard working, passionate and heartfelt approach to their music.

Lil Proof

Lil Proof is an up and coming, young and talented underground rap and hip-hop artist from Sheffield who has been MC’ing for the past 3 years to professional standard. Having previously collaborated with other Sheffield MCs on a great amount of albums and mixtapes, Lil Proof is now looking to expand his horizons and work with other talents who share his passion in creating amazing new breath of inspiration to the UK rap scene for his latest album “Change Gonna Come”. It is his vision for cutting through the ego and fantasy lifestyle that often associates with Hip-Hop in the UK that brought him to Troika’s attention. He is daring and bold enough to stand up and defy the “established” personas and sometimes negative attitude and lyrical content of wannabe rap stars. He is more focused on his positive message and hardworking rhymes to set a new standard in UK Hip-Hop and of course he absolutely 100% aims to follow the earliest and truest notion of hip-hop…keeping it real. Watch this space.
